A 20×16 Bass Drum That Delivers
The bottom end, defined punch and solid note, makes this sized kick so much fun to play. The extra density/weight of Bubinga, really drives the drums powerful low end tone. If it’s not the perfect bass drum, it’s damn close.
Dig in to the rich, percussive tones of the Bubinga 6 ply + 4 ply Maple re ringed, Sleishman Edge 10, 12 and 14″toms. So much tone, light to the touch response/resonance, along with a controlled decay, makes these drums just so musical and basically addictive.
The 14×5.5 snare is a thing of brilliance. 12ply, 10mm in thickness – it’s free floating voice can tune right up to the sound of a gun shot. It gets in and out nicely note wise and has a dry, articulate snare response. The dentity of the wood really carries a solid snare note.
We often describe the Sleishman sound as ‘Pre EQ’d’. This kit is the perfect example of that statement. A balanced spectrum of tones all the way through the set up. Each drum is just so easy to tune. You really only need to apply even tension across the drum and it will sing, regardless of the pitch you tune to.
